my outlook
I believe life is a journey full of ups and downs, and sometimes we get stuck in the tougher parts without knowing how to move forward. As a counsellor in Whitstable, my goal is to offer a space where you can explore your experience honestly and kindly, without judgment. I see therapy as a way to reconnect with yourself—your feelings, your strengths, and the unique qualities that make you who you are. Together, we’ll gently uncover the resources you already have and find a path toward greater clarity and self-understanding. It’s about learning to be with yourself, even when things feel hard, and discovering what helps you feel more grounded, connected, and alive.
Trust your "gut feelings" as they are built upon a life time of experience.
How we work together
I believe therapy works best when you feel safe to explore, reflect and grow without judgement or pressure. You may be going through something that feels overwhelming, whether it’s happening right now or rooted in the past. For some—especially those who experience the world in a more intense, sensitive, or unconventional way—that sense of overwhelm can feel ongoing. You might have spent years adapting, masking, or managing things quietly beneath the surface. You could also be carrying a kind of grief that’s hard to name—whether it’s the loss of someone important, the end of a primary relationship, or the quiet, persistent ache of not having been fully seen or understood.
Therapy with me offers a calm, steady space where you don’t need to explain, perform, or hold it all together. I meet you where you are, focusing on how things feel right now. Whether you’re feeling anxious, shut down, disconnected, or simply exhausted, we begin by paying attention to what’s happening in the moment—with curiosity, care, and no pressure to be any particular way.
I believe your way of being makes sense—even if others haven’t always recognised that. I trust there’s wisdom in how you’ve coped, even if parts of it no longer serve you. Therapy can be a space to honour that, to breathe, and to experience what you feel—without having to justify or fix it.
If any of this resonates, you’re welcome to get in touch. We can talk about what support could look like and go from there—at your pace, in your own way.
I come from a multi-heritage background, and appreciate how identity is shaped by many overlapping influences. When working with clients from different communities, I accompany you when exploring race and intersectional dynamics—how factors like culture, gender, class, and disability can combine in complex ways. I recognise that each individual’s experience is unique, and I do not apply a single approach or assumption to the work we do, instead I aim to help you approach with curiosity and care the specific contexts you bring. My aim is to offer a therapeutic space that feels inclusive, thoughtful, and responsive, where all parts of your identity are seen, and the impacts of broader systems aren’t left out and all the while understanding how difficult this can be whilst trying to find language to convey how this is understood and felt.
