my outlook
I believe that life can be hard work. It challenges us to meet not only joy, happiness and peak experiences but also to roll with the flow of ups and downs. Some of these are traumatic and overwhelming. At these moments we have the choice to turn to someone skilled in listening and to help unravel the chaos and quiet the noise.
I am a humanistic counsellor trained in an integrative approach which means I believe in healing conversations in an open and honest way.
I believe in exploring your own passions, your lifes calling, your souls purpose, what ever that may be and at the heart of this is trusting and following your "gut feelings" as it is built upon a life time of experience.
why counselling now
Counselling is your chance to explore what is troubling you. It may not seem it but you are an expert on you, what you feel, think and experience. Often though it feels overwhelming or so uncomfortable that it feels impossible to see a way forward.
Talking does help, being heard helps and being able to express things that you may have up until now, not been able to express, can be life changing. For many counselling will be the first time they have been able to voice their inner most desires, needs and wishes in the company of another soul that listens, this also can be healing.
Exploring this, how to take control of your life is central to living. Sometimes just the realisation that the life you have is the one you choose is everything.
